Just Another Day

Yesterday was a slow Friday. It wasn't filled with much work, but more downtime than anything. Now you have to understand down time in my world is still working, just not work that gets people the poker face when they step into my office space.

I stepped out to lunch with co-workers for an hour and headed to the mall so that I could use my VC gift card. I obviously had forgotten how much the stuff cost in there....I went in with my gift card only and walked out with that only.....I would've needed an additional $25 to get what I really wanted. I suddenly remembered when I was a regular how I would go in there armed and dangerous. I also remembered how I wondered where all my mulah was going, stopped visiting Vicki, and I no longer wondered.

I had big plans for Friday night, but ended up doing nothing. I laid down to take a nap before calling "Clair" to party but when I woke, it was after 10:00pm. I said forgetaboutit and went on ahead and called it a night. I had gym dates anyway so I wanted to be sure I was bright eyed and busy tailed.

The workout was great this morning, I ran my 3 miles, with walking after 2 for about 30 seconds, then did my 20 on the elliptical machine. Then it's off to the free weights and to work on my J on the court while they guys aren't running full court. I ran into a girfriends homegirl in there who was telling me all about hand dance and stepping classes. Now I know how to Step, my daddy taught me when I was little and i've been holding it down every since. Hand dancing however, I knew nothing about prior to moving here. I need to master it though, there's not to many dances I can't do and I don't want this one to be on the list. She told me to go to Martini's tonight for some steppin.... I hear that's an old head spot so I just may ride that way.

For those wondering, I did not call the guy, as I stated before, i'm not a caller. I'm sure he's not missing my voice or anything so I don't think twice about it. I did however hear from a old friend regarding sleeping over my place. As he put it, he was just tired and didn't want to fall asleep on the road. I, unfortunately for him, wasn't home at the time he called, but I found it interesting because he only lives in VA. Hmmmm....maybe he had already been driving all night? Who knows, guess I never will.
