Quickly

This week went by very quickly for me. I did good yesterday with making direct monitoring calls. I did the math to see how many call I would need to hold down my part of the quota at a minimum and it was like 20-25 calls a day. I did 24 yesterday so that was pretty good.

I was supposed to go out with a friend to dinner but ended up not doing so. We actually ended up talking and I let him know we shouldn't talk anymore, he's the guy with issues and attachments if you remember from the beginning of the blog. We would get together sometime for food and laughs but he was always trying hold my hand and things of that nature. Way to touch feely for me when we're not seeing each other on that level and we weren't. It actually felt good to know I will have one less person to roll my eyes in the air at. I don't know why I started talking to him anyway, I think I was hungry and he wanted to go get something to eat. That's usually what does it.

I didn't do anything last night, my girl came by and brought me so chicken, that fried chicken was poppin something major. I ate all that she brought when I know I should've been saving some for today. She was on her way to our spot and trying to talk me into getting dressed and going with her, but I had to say the nay no my peoples.

My phone rang all night and all morning long. My phone hasn't rang that much since I was fresh out of a relationship after I graduated in '94'. Though the majority of the calls were my girlfriend, my neighbor was worried people were calling to check on me and I wasn't answering the phone. My neighbor, a lady in her mid 50s, doesn't have a home phone right now, for very necessary reasons, I let her keep my cordless that is not plugged in to a phone jack in her apartments. The good thing is, it does not interfere with my schedule or phone calls at all. So she knocked on my door to make sure I was okay. She said she never heard my phone ring as much as it did so she wanted to make sure everything was okay over here. It was quite funny.

Today i'm about to head to Hagerstown to catch up with some folks of mine, I was supposed to head out this morning but you know how that goes. I may have gotten a late start, but my apartment is clean and cookies have been baked. I'm outta here until next time.

Yesterday

Yesterday was a pretty good day, I started off strong with the gym but slacked off the rest of the week. I feel like I had to much going on this week and instead of being at the gym I wanted to be at home relaxing so that's what I did. All this week I have been going to sleep after midnight and last night was no exception. I ended up getting out later than I wanted to but was happy I did. The company I was in at Jaspers was well worth the grogginess this morning.

I'll be in Hagerstown this weekend with friends for a good time and I have happy hour plans tonight. The weekend has came back around so fast. Lately I have been running so much, though I haven't made it to the gym, I have been able to successfully keep the weight off. But I already know this winter i'll be focused on the gym. During the summer, you just want to enjoy the warm weather and daylight.

Again, as I watch people scurrying about to finalize things for the National Conference, I can't help but to be thankful that i'm on a different contract. Though i'll miss NN and all the experience is has provided me with, I am very happy to not be stressed out over the next week. I did offer my assistance though and will do what I can as far as support for them.

Well, hopefully I won't get in to late tonight to blog about my day today. Talks soon peoples!

Bone Thugs & Harmony

Remember that song by Bone Thugs & Harmony that went "It's the first of the month (wake up wake up wake up) so cash your checks and get up". Well now when I sing it, I feel like I never did know the words. I mean, was he really saying, so cash your checks and get up? I think not, but it sounds good and you know how WE do, just add the words we think it says. It doesn't feel like July was complete and here comes August rushing in....where did the time go? I guess all that traveling I did last month made the days disappear faster than I could acknowledge they were leaving.

LeLe found a replacement for me yesterday and she started today. This means I have 2 new employees to train in addition to learning and doing my new job. The good thing is that it is not going to be hard getting these people acclimated to taking over my responsibilities on Neighborhood Networks or as LeLe's right hand. I took phone calls on my own today at work, it was cool, but the call backs are a mutha effa. All that time calculation isn't for me but I know I have to work it out.

I had a order for cookies today too from a co-worker. I made Snickerdoodle and they are quite good. I'm glad that was my choice rather than choc chip. Well I can barely keep my eyes open and lack of sleep is catching up with me.

Still up

Yep, it is after midnight and I am once again, just getting ready to go to bed. I had 6o vocabulary, definitions and sentences to complete tonight. It's my own fault for not getting started sooner and my phone kept ringing. I received some tickets to go see EVE tonight but couldn't do so due to the task at hand. I may procrastinate but I know how to shut it down.

Work was a pretty good day, I did some direct and remote monitoring today and it was pretty easy. Though I thought remote monitoring would be the easiest b/c I don't have to talk to anyone, I actually prefer the direct.

Anyway yall.....i'm super sleepy so i'll play catch up with yall tomorrow.

Sigh....

Today was quite a busy Monday. I had my first meeting with the new contract i'm on today to go over questions we will be asking CSRs. It was a productive meeting, there were a lot of good questions asked. Before the meeting, our database went down. I was happy because it gave me time to introduce the Project Directors new assistant to everyone and go over some basic rules, policies, and procedures.

I had class tonight and it was pretty good if only he would stick to the book and let us ask questions and interact as a class but the professor is so FREAKIN BORING!!!!! He always says we're going to get out early and we end up getting out at 9:30. Tonight was a miracle.....he let us leave at 9:00.

After I left class I headed to the gym. Today marks the first day of me re-starting my work out. I was a slacker all of July with all the rippin and runnin I was doing but i'm back now. I may be going to Florida in November and I want to be sure I have my swimsuit body still. I did 1.5 on the treadmill and 10 flights at level 5 and s flights at level 7 and 5 flights at level on the stair master. I am determined to hit that every time I enter the gym, starting at 5 minutes a week. I will increase the amount each week or until it is at a max for me. I'll be there tomorrow after work with my game face on.......

Toodles until then

Come and go

Happy hour was nice on Friday. It had been a while since I went out with co-workers but it was a good time as usual. I got there late so I only had one drink, but that was all I needed. We weren't there to late but it was just enough time to enjoy each others company outside the office.

It's funny how you can be waiting months for an event to arrive but when it gets here it is over so quickly. This weekend was the Summer Madness Cookout and after party. As usual, it was some good eatin', everything was delicious. They be grillin they pants off every year and that fried fish is to kill for. This year we were at a different park than we usually go to and had a little hatin' from the police but it was still a good time. It was really hot too this time, I had to get outta there earlier than I typically would've....couldn't stand the heat anymore, 2 hours was my max.

The cabaret was nice, the DJ from The Street was spinnin and everybody was groovin. There was a lot going on inside the ballroom and outside. I didn't have anything to drink, not even water, it was $5..... that's ridiculous. There was some characters in there. I tend to dance on my own and I don't like nobody all up on me unless we came in there together. There was this guy that came out on the dance floor right before a jam ended and went to slow music. He grabbed me after asking if I wanted to dance. As I got closer to him, not only was he super skinny, skinnier than me, but he also smelled like Cheetos or feet or something. I had to hold my breath the whole time I danced with him only taking baby breaths when I had no choice. I should've walked right off the dance floor on his behind but I didn't, I sucked it up in order to avoid being rude. As sooooooon as that song was over, I booked up off that dance floor before he could even begin to consider dancing with me again.

I was supposed to head to a convention in Richmond this morning but didn't quite make it. I ended up doing laundry, unpacking from my trips the past two weekends, picking up groceries for dinner which was turkey meatloaf, mac & cheese and a vegetable melody. I did some homework, made my dinner, did some cleaning and sat down to watch a movie.

Tomorrow I will be making my first calls in my new position of Quality Assurance Monitor, yall pray for me please. I have no doubts i'll do good at the job, i'm just worried imma get tired of sitting in that seat and people coming to my cubicle now that i'm not in Vera's eye shot. Whatever the case, i'll shout down who and what is necessary.
