Swing of things

Today was a typical day for me, played catch up from last week and the weekend and went to the doctor regarding my eczema. They gave me a refferral just a I wanted.

When I was home, I was there for a wedding and to see my newest niece. This is the first time i've come home and my cousins have been out of town. I alwasy go out with them, but not this time. Though I missed clubbin with them, this gave me more time in the evenings. I ended up on the side of the road at a fish hole. We started off pulling baby Blue Gills out the water, but after about 15-20 minutes, the big ones started coming out to play. I was paranoid and told my dad I didn't want to fish on no side of the road, he basically told me I must've forgotten where I came from since I moved over here (Maryland). Truth be told, he was right. Not until I hooked my first Gill, though it was tiny, did I remember being younger and setting up camp anywhere my daddy heard they were biting. I suddenly became very comfortable and less worried about the no parking sign posted and the fact we were on the side of a road fishing. I had my story all planned if the authorities pulled up on us and asked for our fishing license. My dad and his girl had one, but I didn't. I would've said I was from out of town and holding the pole from my daddy, hoping showing them my MD identification would soften them up. Luckily, nobody stopped by but people who wanted to know if they were biting. Though the wedding was beautiful and much fun, I would have to say fishing was the highlight of my trip.... I haven't been in so long.

I also went out and watched my brother skate, that boy is bad on them thangs, he reminds me of my daddy. When I was younger, I was pretty smooth too. I have to admit we get that from both of our parents. But now days, all I can think of is hitting that floor....and I ain't feeling that. When I do get out there though, I do pretty good, I need to practice my backwards skating a little more and stop being so paranoid.

The wedding was beautiful and it was wonderful having all my family and closest family friends in one place. We laughed, danced, ate and socialized all night. At the end of it all, we took pictures, minus my momma, she always seems to disappear before picture time and I don't know how that always happens.

After the wedding my dad and I went and hung out at various places down town before calling it a night. It was fun, he imitated people on the dance floor and received an standing ovation from the people on the side lines, they were so tickled and he truly was funny.
